Before the white chrysanthemum

The scissors hesitate

a moment  (Buson)

rustling ears flinch in suprise

a squirrel I, ease each other's fear  (Richard Heby)


picking strength

with  the white blossoms

petals soft, silky - offered

a momentary pleasure  (Mary Kathryn)


the flower awaits

a life soon forever changed

a new begining  (Eve Penman)

bygone moonlight moves beyond

drooping petals   whimsical frowns  (Bukusai Ashagawa
