A drop of dew wells
Heavy at a leafs tip
Petals wilt then fall
(paraphrased from Kiba's Death Poem)

Trekking - Parched - I watch, Raindrops drooling off a mountain pass, Though I've drank my last drop

Forest Footsteps

Fog sketches ephemeral outlines of an old growth stand
Douglas Firs nurture and awe my mind's eyes
The river n' trails (pct) lessen my guardedness
So as to welcome my experience of the Northwest Forests embrace
My footsteps
My breathsteps
My visualsteps
I join in lockstep with the forest's prosody
It's thematic forest breath
It's thematic forest footsteps
Fires squelched by snowfall
Yet Ambers still glow
Up mountain paths westerly winds blow
HO!

Bone chilling cold warmed by the fire
The time has past to climb down the pass
I lie in my tent as the wet
The cold
The chill
The rain & clouds creep in
The moonlight brings Kokyo
The sunrise Jakkodo
Tree trunks shed layers of white ash
In my campfire
Weary winds whimper down a mountain pass
Coughing out cloud puffs - that wisp        bye!
Wearily I trudge up through mountain rain clouds

Cynthia's Cottage

A weary old man-shelters on a frozen mtn pass, once the storm clears will he stand - by chance.

Where old growth stand - Grander than the hand of Wo - man
