Up the Mtn, Again! #227

-40F

I know warmth awaits me

beyond this numbness

whether indoors by the fire

or sitting by this tree ...

Up the Mtn, Again! #232

Up n' down   ...    up n' Down

about the dark hillside ... the wabbbit

till cruncH!   goes the (spotted) Owl

Up the Mtn, Again! #197

three Sisters (wilderness area)

summered    almost bald of snow

climate change?

Up the Mtn, Again! #153

foliage falling

till boughs bud again

on and on ... and on

Up the Mtn, Again #231b

my skin set aglow

(by) ethereal ephemera

summered moonbeams

Up the Mountain, Again! #198

forest heat wave

foliage, drying   ...   dry   ...   dried

summered sun reigns

Up the Mtn, Again! #224

premature colouring

ferns pines, yellowed browned ... fall

droughts foliage

Up the Mtn, Again! #218

my summers long gone

I cry out cold dry tears

my last winters here

Up the Mtn, Again! #187

Up the Mountain

solitary seclusion

(autumn) blossoming

in my mtn side hovel

stoking the fire

Up the Mtn, Again! #224

after the rains

a cool moist evening ground fog

swelling summer breeze

Up the Mtn, Again! #216

Old growth

refusing to bend

in any direction

Up the Mountain, Again! #219

my time

secluded on a mtn side

summer hermitage

Up the Mtn, Again! #229

reading haiku

through silhouetted branches

dancing on pages

Up the Mtn, Again! #215

My journey's       my home

time, love, my fellow travelers

a wanderous life

Up the Mtn, Again! #205

Saigyo's creek spilling

into Basho's pond, Buson's paintings

flakes, blossoming in me

Up the Mtn, Again! #202

canopied treetops

sunset paints with light n' shadows

dusk is simmering

Up the Mtn, Again! #158

a faint humid haze

fireflys       ah!     summertime

gnats clouding my view

Up the Mtn, Again! #201

beaming loudly

my eyes hear the sunrise dawning

white clouds on blue sky

Up the Mtn, Again! #203

gesso

aging flakes

cherry blossoms

Up the Mtn, again! #200

screened sunrise

sunbeams sketched on pages

writing through shadows

Up the Mtn, Again! #194

sinking cinders

ash flakes float downstream

wild land forest fire

Up the Mtn, Again #177

stained by pitch & sap

my hickory handled axe

splitting wet firewood

Up the Mtn, Again! #193

where a brook runs

the suns hot reflection

running downstream

Up the Mtn, Again! #188

drifting wisps flurry

wild land forest fires   -   Ash

hell's snow

our floating world

crying hot cinder tears

Up the Mountain, Again! #190

half awake      ... just ...

field mice ... scampering ... on my roof

      -      right ?

Up the Mtn, Again! #189

          pine cones

                    sticky   sappy       here       there,

everywhere              pine cones

Up the Mtn, Again! #178

misty sheets of rain

stir slumbering clouds

on my mountain side

Up the Mtn, Again! #180

breathing out sunlight

breathing in the moonlight

life & death eclipsing

karma's cycle

the breadth of breath

Up the Mtn, Again #176

greenery

summertime foliage

blooming

Up the Mtn, Again! #173

by candellight

through a bedroom window

a pear blossoms

On the Euro Zone Crisis (in Ireland, Spain Portugal, Italy, and Greece)

the One percent

Up the Mtn, again! #175

while splitting firewood

I sniff the blade of my axe

whiff of cedar sap

Up the Mtn, Again! #165

thunderous booming

piercing crackles   lightning

swollen, pregnant clouds

birthed on a mtn side

divine intuition

Up the Mtn, again! #133

deep in the forest

my hovel      my hermitage

healing seclusion

natures divinity

continues on and on ... and on

Up the Mtn, Again! #129 "Hovel Passage"

trail to my hovel

camouflaged by foliage

obscured by falls reign

Up the Mtn, Again! #105

ferns blossom

feed by dawns hues

dry glossy       light dew

Up the Mtn, Again! #155

colour drooping

boughs heavy with grief

foliage blossoms

Up the Mountain, Again! #164

clouds drooling

saturating top soil

woodland roots feasting

ferns n' firs focused downwards

rainstorms cooconed in root balls

Up the Mtn, Again!

ah!       by the fire

ah!       see, the mountains

ah!       fullmoon      peace

Up the Mtn, Again! #126

taut petals   -   strained

acquiesce to pooled rain, spill

then straighten again

Up the Mtn, Again! #154

"Last Night"

fullmoon,    Cool night

moonbeams, soft, fluid shadows

Magic!  aglow

pure bough filtered moonlight

f or ml  E ss.      soothing, tranquil, whisps

Up the Mtn, Again #149

rapids

washing over me

swaying trees

Up the Mtn, Again! #148

fall autumns

Beyond coloured foliage

- faint sheets of rain

(Inspired by Robert Wright''s work below)

In the summer haze:

Behind Magnolias

Faint sheets of lightning.

Up the Mtn, Again! #130a

sunlit wildfire

light bleeding from tree to tree

a spreading blaze       Dawn

Up the Mtn, Again! #142

distant thunder ?

storm Up the Mtn?   Soon?

trunks sway, boughs bend

winds howl n' scream      FLASH!

lightning, signaling - Calm reigns

Up the Mtn, Again! #140b

webbed, panicked, struggle -

patience, surrender fly !

into despair

Up the Mountain, Again! #135

voices coursing

amongst streaming throngs

the babbling brook

Up the Mtn, Again! #143

earth, air, shudder

mountain thunder clap deafens

- divine revelation

religions irrelevant

humbled acquiescence - faith ?

Up the Mtn, Again! #129

trail to my hovel

camoflauged by foliage

obscured by falls reign

coloured trail dirt

crumbled & fading
